Helena Discipline

Miss Wood stops by her friend Mr Baxter's home for a little chat about her daughter Helena. She thinks the girl has been difficult because she doesn't have a male authority figure in her life, so is asking for his help in getting Helena under control. Miss Wood has had it with Helena, so she says she's ready to try anything and agrees. Helena has a poor attitude when questioned about her grades and the type of friends she hangs out with. She is asked if her friends are a bit rough; her reply is that it depends on your definition of rough. She conveys that they get up to trouble while hanging out at the park and uses a bratty “whatever” tone. She seems to have no ambition to do anything worthwhile with her life. When Mr Baxter and her mother inform her of their plan for him to give her a good spanking, she continues to be rude and snotty, rolling her eyes at everything.
